A compassionate LCSW with a dedication to trauma-informed care and supporting diverse communities.
Hello potential client! I'm proud of you for taking the first step in your mental health journey! If you've been in therapy before, I'm glad you're still looking for the right therapist to fit your needs. As a mental health clinician, I'm passionate about destigmatizing the role mental health services play in our lives, especially for Black communities and people of color. I advocate for individuals and families to seek the best treatment based on their needs. In addition, I believe that as humans, it's necessary to heal from generational trauma so the next generation and ourselves can live the best life possible.
Throughout my professional experience, I've worked with adults (18+) dealing with depression, anxiety, LGBTQIA issues, and oppression. I've also worked with mothers at all stages of parenting. I also conduct group therapy, which can benefit the individual therapy process.
Understanding how society marginalizes us and gathering the tools necessary to cope outside therapy is essential. I hold space for clients to feel heard, seen, and safe. Through my work, I want communities of color to live unapologetically on their terms. Now that you know a little about me, I would love to hear from you! You're not alone.
